As much as I love Solas being lowkey three steps ahead of everyone, I really really need Inquisitors who take him down a notch or two.

I need Inquisitors who press their lips together when Solas says ‘Do you know how I came across this Qunari plot to begin with? My spies in the Inquisition tripped over their spies in the Inquisition.’ Inquisitors who quietly reply with ‘And how do you think that happy accident occurred?’

I need Inquisitors who walk up to him on that plateau and ask what the protocol for greeting a god is. (And an extra quip for bitter Lavellan’s, “The Dalish never taught me how to greet a god, although I’m sure they would’ve done it wrong even if they had.”)

I need Inquisitors who step back, who clutch their pulsing hand close to their chest and say “Oh no, I didn’t come here so you could take this.” Because they know he wants to tear down the Veil, and if the Anchor can stitch up Rifts, then they need to keep it. And when Solas blinks and states “The Anchor is killing you,” the Inquisitor just laughs because is that supposed to convince them to give up their most valuable weapon in this fight?

Please, please just… just give me clever Inquisitors who can slap down Solas’s bullshit at mach 5.
